A prototype of a slurry abrasion erosion tester (designed to ASTM G75-15) developed for Chevron. It’s used to determine the miller number of a given specimen which provides insight into a material’s slurry abrasion resistance.
The troughs are filled with a specific slurry and the abrasion is accomplished through the reciprocating motion of the linear actuator.
